Crown Tournament

As some of you know, we are involved in a medieval recreation society called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). We are in the Kingdom of AEthelmearc, and for our second time my husband and I competed in the Crown Tournament. My husband made it to the finals! To give you a sense of the weight of this tournament, the winners would be the Prince and Princess of AEthelmearc and later step-up to be the King and Queen. There were 14 combatants, many of them Knights, some of them Counts (someone who has been King once) and Dukes (someone who has been King two or more times). Someone at the event video taped the final fights, it was best 3 out of 5, different weapons form for each fight. My husband won the 3rd fight: Fight 3a Fight 3b . And he fought very well in the 2nd fight with a pollarm: Fight 2a Fight 2b.
