Break Time!

Two posts in one day! Yep. We had a fun weekend.

So we finished our holiday shopping this past weekend and found a really neat Tonka toy truck set at Target. It was the last one on the shelf and the trucks are diecast, they have plastic moving parts, and were a great price! So we bought it for Drake and gave it to him when we got home. We plan to put a few of them in his diaper bag so he will always have something to play with when we go out. Drake loved the trucks so much that when we were going upstairs to get ready for bed that night, he put as many as he could carry in his arms, asked me to carry his beloved Puppy & Bunny, and he brought the trucks to bed with him that night! He was up in bed for about an hour playing with the trucks, he was so cute to hear him play over the monitor. Then he said "un-oh" and started to cry. L went up to check on him, he wanted the trucks out of his bed. He handed Daddy each truck one-by-one, then snuggled into bed and fell right to sleep.

Grandpa came to visit over the weekend! Drake has so much fun rough-housing with Grandpa. Drake will take Grandpa's glasses off and gently set them down. Then he'll run off looking behind himself to be sure Grandpa is following. This second picture is of Drake and Grandpa taking a break from the football game to color.

I probably won't post again for a couple weeks because of the holidays. I hope everyone has a great holiday break!
