Pumpkins & V-Smile

This weekend we went to Iron Kettle Farms to get our Halloween pumpkins. We had fun seeing the animals, and picking out our pumpkins. This year a friend of mine gave me tickets so we rode the hay wagon. Drake had a blast riding the wagon on the back of the tractor. The place was incredibly crowded so we didn't hang around for too long. Then on Monday we carved the pumpkins! Drake picked out two small ones and told us what he wanted carved in his pumpkins. So from top to bottom in the first picture - "octopus face" (as Drake calls him) from Pirates of the Caribbean, pirate face, Bat, and jack-o-lantern. These pumpkins are so much better then the ones we did last year.
Drake had his first day at Day Care today. It went well for a first day. He's not going full-time, but it will be enough time for my husband to more easily get some work done. What a day! They were impressed with his communication skills, manners, and independence.
So my cousin gave us her old video game system (her kids are getting a new one for christmas), the V-Smile. We set it up and Drake gave it a whirl last night. He enjoyed it! His attention was only good for a few boards, and he definately could press the buttons to maneuver the character, but the joy stick is still fairly foreign for him. It's pretty neat. The game moves slowly for me (of course I tried it too), but I think he liked the pace of it.
He is getting to be a little boy... growing so fast.
