July Trip to Soho

This is a long overdue post about our trip to Soho, which I'm not exactly sure if it is in NJ or NY? We had a great time visiting Uncle T, L, Uncle D and Aunt A. My favorite part of the trip was going to the lighthouse. On the lighthouse beach, Drake discovered that crabs live under the rocks. So if you pick-up a rock all of the little crabs scurry to find another place to hide. This is the first movie. We discovered that if you lift the rock straight up, as opposed to rolling it to the side, the crabs have no where to hide and they have to scurry farther. We had fun watching the crabs.

The beach was also covered in seashells. I've never seen anything like it. Along the beach, probably where high tide stops, there is a continuous pile of seashells about 8 feet wide and 3 feet tall. The picture is of Drake sitting on the pile holding one of the seashells.

Along the beach we also found withering jellyfish and horseshoe crab exoskeletons. Neat! The lighthouse itself was neat too, just really cramped and hot.
We also visited the Superhero exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was not what I was expecting. They featured some costumes from live action superhero movies/TV shows, like Ironman, Batman, Spiderman, Mystique and Wonder Woman. But mostly exhibited were clothes made by fashion designers in the spirit of the superhero or expanding on some aspect of the superhero or the superhero's costume. Still interesting, but not what I was expecting.
